Automation Engineer We have an outstanding career opportunity for an Automation Engineer with medical device or pharmaceutical industry experience to join a leading global Medical Equipment Manufacturer located in the St. Louis, MO.
area.What You Will Be Doing- Execute projects related to manufacturing processes.
Focus will be electrical and control system.- Create custom equipment designs (electrical) from a blank sheet of paper to a finished concept, with input from, engineering, production, maintenance and external vendors.- Develop project documentation (requirements, design documents, drawings, etc.
).- Develop equipment validation protocols.What You Need for this PositionRequirements:- BS in relevant technical area.- Five plus years of relevant experience, or equivalent.- Demonstrated accomplishments in manufacturing, engineering, and manufacturing support.- Experience designing electrical control systems for automated machinery.- Experience programming Allen-Bradley Logix PLCs and HMIs including motion experience.- Experience designing electrical control panels.- Experience with AutoCAD.- Understanding of relevant electrical requirements and machine safety standards.- Experience with basic Ethernet networking concepts.- Experience in machine vision systems (Cognex) - desired but not mandatory.- Experience in robotics (Fanuc) - desired but not mandatory.- Experience with a higher level programming language (VB.Net, C++, C#, Java) - desired but not mandatory.-- Experience in a pharmaceutical or medical device manufacturing environment - desired but not mandatory.- Excellent written and verbal communication skills- Budgeting, estimating and scheduling skills required- Strong interpersonal and Organizational skills.What's In It for YouWe offer an above average and area competitive compensation package along with an amazing, comprehensive, full benefits plan.
