at our East Alton, Illinois, office. Responsibilities Purpose of Role
Responsible for providing a full range of support by managing day-to-day administration of various HR policies and procedures primarily focused in Employment Administration.Core Accountabilities
Employee Records Management: Manage human resource records within Ceridian Dayforce HCM, employee-related databases and employment files. Create and manage all entries in HR system ensuring SOX compliance. Manage unemployment claims.Leave Administration: Coordinate and administer all aspects of employee leaves to ensure compliance with company policies, federal and state leave regulations, while providing instruction, guidance and excellent customer service to employees, managers and other human resources professionals.Workers Comp: Process workers’ compensation claims and facilitate communication between the Company and third-party administrators.Onboarding: Facilitate onboarding for new hires by conducting pre-hire screens, paperwork, and orientation.Continuous Improvement: Develop solutions to inefficient HR procedures in alignment with the vision of Olin Brass. Contribute to the development and implementation of new HR policies, procedures and systems.Cross-Training: Partner with HR Administrator to cross-train roles to better assist the HR organization as a whole.
Qualifications Position Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field, and/or equivalent experience;Minimum of two (2) years of Human Resources experience;Highest level of professionalism with the ability to maintain confidentiality;Effective verbal and written communications skills. Ability to work within a team structure in support of company objectives;Strong analytical and problem solving skills;Ability to work with minimal supervision, take initiative and confident in independent decision-making;Experience with Ceridian Dayforce HCM preferred.Equal Opportunity Employer M/F/Disabled/Veteran
